Do you work for a bank?
No, when you decide to work with me, I work for you. I am a Mortgage Broker with Mortgage Alliance, I am regulated by the Financial Institution Commission, and I obtained my license at UBC Sauder School of Business. Being a mortgage broker, to me, means that I am hired by you to find you the best product and options, save you money, help you avoid hidden fees and costs, and secure the best rate for you. It means being available to you when you have questions, need clarification, or want advice. I do not have a sales goal that I am working towards and I have more knowledge than you will find at any bank. My goal is to save you money and provide you with the service and experienced advice you deserve when it comes to securing the biggest loan you will ever receive.
How do you get paid?
For the majority of my clients, I am paid by the lender. All the lenders pretty much pay me the same commission, so what matters to me is that you are getting the best product, service, and rates, period. As long as you have good credit and fit with a conventional mortgage, you don’t have to pay me.
After I get my mortgage, can I still ask you questions?
Yes! I am here to help you for the long-term. When you become my client, you are more than a transaction. I’ll keep in touch with you throughout the years, conduct annual mortgage reviews, and always be available to answer your questions and help you meet new goals. Renewals, refinances, buying additional properties? Helping you figure out if you can afford to buy another property and what the costs will be if you do? Whatever comes up, I’ll be there to support you.
This has always been a stressful process for me, how can you make it better?
I have yet to work with client who ends up unhappy with my service. How is that possible, you ask? My clients tell me I make getting a mortgage effortless, and it is my goal for each and every one of them to feel this way. Here’s how…I am with you 100% of the time throughout the entire process. I answer all your questions and provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision. For example, I tell you how much you need to set aside for closing costs, and what those will be. I also show you how to avoid high penalties and pay the least amount of interest. After each step in the process is complete, I will tell you exactly what to expect next. And to top it off, I have a trusted team of professionals who can help you with your legal, investment, and real estate purchase and sale needs.
Can we do everything online?
Absolutely. I have been working online with my clients since 2017— this is not something that is new to me! You can do everything from the comfort of your home, at your own pace. We can meet via a video conference or a phone call; whichever you prefer. First, I figure out what your goals and dreams are. Then you fill out my secure online application and privacy agreement and provide me with documentation. Then all of your work is done, and I find your ideal mortgage. It’s as easy as that.
